moving forward

I got a new job! It's a contract job, so I have a guaranteed four months, and they already said they would love to add someone to the team permanently if the budget allows. But even if it doesn't work out, it's going to be a great for my resume. It's at a law firm that shall henceforth be referred to as Werewolves & Associates due to some convoluted rhyming slang and a highly googleable name, and the office is downtown (like, really downtown) which of course thrills me to no end. I'm not looking forward to the drastically increased commute, but...the city is where I really want to be, so it definitely feels like a step forward. I'm going in to get set up Wednesday morning, and my first official day will be Thursday. I am super pumped to be able to wear HEELS to work! (haha, pumped about pumps. PUNS.)

That's pretty much the most exciting part of my life right now. I'm actually still working my retail job through next Saturday (I have Thurs & Fri off there, which is why I'm starting at Werewolves & Associates), so this next week will be pretty busy, and...every other week will, since I'm going to be working full time again with an hour commute each way, BUT. Busy can be good? I hope? Hopefully my tablet case will get here so I can surf the web at my leisure during my lunchbreaks.

It's so nice to finally post with good news :) I hope that things continue to be so positive when I actually start this job!
