FIRST NAME: Jen

AGE: 23

LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI. I was born in Chicago, moved to a suburb of MKE when I was in elementary school. Went to school on the stateline and came back here. Midwest 4 lyfe (or at least 4 now)

OCCUPATION: By day, I am the editorial assistant for a hobby magazine (for a hobby I am not a part of) and...by the other part of the day, I'm a temp marketing coordinator for a law firm. I officially declined to interview for the permanent position that was basically created for me at the law firm though, so we'll see what happens next! As of now I'm staying until they hire someone/until I find something else.

PARTNER: N/A, tragically. I've tried a bunch of online dating but...it just hasn't worked out for me yet. Boo.

KIDS: Zero! I am SO not interested in having kids right now hahaha cohabitating with a cat I don't even have to take care of is enough responsibility for me. But I wouldn't rule out someday!

BROTHERS/SISTERS: One! My little sister is 20, is way more stylish and has way more of her life put together than I do AND has a boyfriend. How is that fair? We're besties though :)

PETS: As previously mentioned, I cohabitate with Logan, who is my roommate's cat. We have a shaky truce. I would love to have a dog one day but see: money and/or RESPONSIBILITY!!!

3-5 BIGGEST THINGS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE:

1) JOB: I'm making career decisions! What! I have career goals! (I would like to be promoted to assistant editor someday and possibly transition to working on one of my company's jewelry titles, OR possibly leave and work for a lifestyle magazine which is also published in my area) I have to decide what I want to do with the 20 hours of my week that will be freed up from dropping the temp gig and I HAVE NO IDEA ha ha ha

2) LIVING: Okay, so like many internet folks I...like to stay home and be on the internet. But I'm living on my own now, and I'm living way too close to STUFF THAT HAPPENS to stay home all the time, so I'm trying to do more things. Like roller derby bouts, burlesque shows, classes at the local woman-owned sex-positive erotic boutique, sewing lessons, theater, all of which are things that occur in my general vicinity! I want to do those things.

3) WRITING: I suck at writing. The actual act of it, sitting down and making words fill up a blank page. I've been really frustrate with my failure to create things in recent times, so I signed up for trope_bingo for some low-pressure but structured writing fun and I'm also working on an original sexy story that will hopefully also be fun!

PARENTS: Mom works part time in tech services at the local library (she puts the stickers on the books!) and part time in the district office of the school district I attended (mostly because she was volunteer coordinator and general superstar parent for the...14 years my sister and I were going there and everyone knows her and loves her). Dad is in sales, right now he sells bank equipment. I get along best with my mom, partially because I'm most like my dad and we're both stubborn and tend to butt heads, but my family is really close in general SO it all works out okay in the end.
